This matches the best price we’ve seen on the LG C1 OLED (8/10, WIRED Recommends). It made our list of the best TVs as a top pick for gamers, not just because of the wonderfully rich blacks that OLED panels provide, but also due to its 120-Hz refresh rate support (and it works with Nvidia’s G-Sync and AMD’s FreeSync) for smooth-looking gameplay. Other screen sizes are also on sale. The deal is matched at Best Buy and Buydig (where it comes with a $75 Visa gift card).
This deal has been around for a couple of weeks, but it’s still a good one. The 2021 iPad Mini (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is a great little portable hybrid device. The size is especially nice for reading or streaming videos, making it a good summer vacation sidekick. The price is matched at Walmart. For folks craving more power and a larger screen, the iPad Pro is also on sale. Check out our Best iPads guide for additional advice.
It’s not listed in our Best Bluetooth Speakers guide, but we have tried and like the previous model of this JBL speaker. This deal is available in every color (and there are several to choose from). It’s waterproof and dustproof, so you can bring it along to the beach without worry. The speaker also doubles as a power bank to top up your smartphone.
The GoPro Hero 10 Black (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is our favorite action camera. Paying $400 for it alone is a good deal that saves you about $50, but this bundle adds even more value: It includes a spare battery and a charger that can top off both batteries simultaneously. The charger usually sells for $50 by itself. This is the best deal we’ve seen for the action camera since last year.
Totallee makes some of the thinnest smartphone cases around, so if you hate bulky cases but want some kind of protection for your pricey device, these are some of your best options. You can read more about our thoughts on its cases in our Best iPhone 13 Cases guide.
Enter code MD15 to see the discount at checkout. This sitewide coupon is valid through May 30. You can also use code MD20 to take 20 percent off orders of $100 or more. Satechi makes great tech accessories, like cases and chargers. Its products are featured in many of our guides, including the Best Wireless Chargers, Best USB Hubs, Best iPad Accessories, and Best iPhone Accessories.
Android owner? Have you been eyeing a smartwatch? Samsung is offering its latest Galaxy Watch4 for free if you purchase one of three phones: Galaxy Z Flip3, Galaxy Z Fold3 (7/10, WIRED Recommends), or Galaxy S22 Ultra (9/10, WIRED Recommends). You’ll also receive up to $1,100 of trade-in credit on eligible smartphones.
The Samsung Galaxy A53 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is one of the newest additions to our list of the Best Cheap Phones. It has a nice-looking display, good battery life, and better performance than the price would suggest. This deal was around a few days ago as well, and matches the lowest price we’ve seen on Amazon.
Google’s Nest Hub (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is powered by Google Assistant, so you can ask it anything from the weather to whether your dog can eat grapes (no!). It has a screen, so you can read the answers to your queries and also use the touchscreen to control your smart home. This version doesn’t have a camera, and it can track your sleep, so it’s good for the bedroom. Read our Best Smart Displays guide for more.
Every four to six weeks, the Roku Express 4K drops down to $29. The lowest price we’ve seen for it was $24 during winter shopping holidays last year. There is a slightly newer version of this stick that comes with voice control. Check out our Roku Buying Guide for more information.
Almost all of our favorite mattresses are on sale right now. Check out our Memorial Day Mattress Deals roundup for more. Below are three of our favorite picks from that list, written by Medea Giordano.
WIRED senior writer Scott Gilbertson tried a handful of sustainably made mattresses, and the Avocado Green has remained his top pick. It’s the only mattress he and his wife can agree on, since he prefers a firm bed and she likes a soft one. This is both, without being too much of either. It’s made from organic latex, organic wool, and organic cotton. It is also nontoxic, containing no polyurethane, fire retardants, memory foam, or chemical adhesives. Avocado owns its own sheep farms and latex farm. The mattress’s price has jumped since last year.
Enter MDWSALE250 at checkout to see this price; you’ll also get two free pillows. We’ve seen this mattress hit $1,699, but the base price has risen a few times, which is disappointing. However, the Helix Midnight Luxe Hybrid has been our top mattress pick for several years. It has a plush cushion top, cooling gel foam, and is medium-firm, which should appeal to side, back, and stomach sleepers. Its springs are firmer in the areas that need more support, like where your lower back rests. If you’re getting another size, click the View Offer button on the top of Helix’s site to determine the right code for your total.
Enter code MEMDAY20 at checkout to see the discount. WIRED reviews director Jeffrey Van Camp says the Allsweel Supreme feels as comfortable as a $2,000 mattress. Of all the mattresses he tested, this one hung around, and it was the only bed his pregnant partner wanted to sleep on during her third trimester, because of its softness and side-sleeping support. It doesn’t have the best edge support, but it’s still a great choice.
This is a holdover from last week that’s worth mentioning again. Folks feel very strongly about Elden Ring. You either love it or hate it. This is the first discount we’ve tracked for the popular title. The price is matched at Walmart and GameStop, and the deal is valid only for the PlayStation versions of the game.
This game is featured in our list of the Best Couch Co-Op Games. It’s family-friendly, so it might be a good pickup for kids facing down another long summer. Players will need to team up to solve frenzied food-themed puzzles that are as funny as they are chaotic. The game usually sells for about $20.
As a part of its Mega Sale, Epic Games is offering these titles for free and at a discount, respectively, to anyone with an Epic Games account (free to create). Additional deals on games will be announced over the next couple of Thursdays. Check out the entire sale here.
One of the best PlayStation 5 features has nothing to do with the console itself. We really like this controller. In our roundup of the best PlayStation 5 accessories, WIRED reviewer Jaina Grey says there’s no third-party alternative that packs the same punch as the DualSense. The haptic feedback is spaced throughout the housing, making the games feel even more immersive. The controller is available in several mouthwatering colors too. This is the best deal we’ve ever tracked. The price is matched at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and GameStop.
There’s no chance of snagging a discounted PS5, but this annual promotion from Sony still has some good discounts.
Check out our roundup of Memorial Day outdoors, camping, and grilling deals.
Resident pizza oven enthusiast and WIRED editor Adrienne So loves the Solo Stove Pi (8/10, WIRED Recommends). From the overall shape and design to the oven’s glowing performance, she had a lot of good things to say in her review, and it will likely make our Best Pizza Ovens list soon. The biggest caveat is the price, but this deal takes care of that. It’s part of a larger sale at Solo Stoves—we also like its Yukon firepit.
REI members get 20 percent off coupon-eligible full-sized items, and I (Adrienne) have decided to blow ours on Yakima’s modular car hitch system. Every year, our camping gear mysteriously expands. The Yakimo EXO lets you add whichever components you want so you lash your cooler and propane to an outdoor rack and still fit your children and dogs inside the vehicle.
Garmin recently released the latest inReach Mini 2, which unfortunately doesn’t qualify for the member coupon. However, at $400 it’s a bit pricier than the earlier inReach Mini, which is still absurdly tiny and effective at communicating when you’re off the grid (or just on a long road trip through a deserted area.)
It’s been a while since we’ve seen the Biolite FirePit+ fall so low in price. We liked the original version; this newer model can be used as a heating source, a phone charger, and a snazzy portable grill. The whole thing folds down and packs up for easy storage.
The Ooni Karu (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is an amazing, albeit very expensive pizza oven. We were thoroughly impressed during our testing, but that goes for most Ooni ovens we’ve tried. Our Best Pizza Ovens guide has more than one Ooni model, and most of them are on sale. The deals end May 30.
Enter code SHAREBBQ to see the discount at checkout. The Thermapen is one of the best grilling accessories for good reason: It does its job, and it does it quickly. It’ll spit out accurate temperatures in less than a second. It would make a nice Father’s Day gift, though any pitmaster would be happy to receive one of these. It rarely go on sale.
A comfortable seat can make a world of difference when you’re camping. This mini-couch is one of our favorite pieces of camping gear. It doesn’t pack down particularly small, and it can be annoying to set up, but if you just want to snuggle up to your significant other, instead of sitting awkwardly in two separate camp chairs, this will do the trick.
I love this blanket. I keep it in my trunk and take it with me on every camping trip. It compresses into the included stuff sack easily, and it keeps me warm despite being so lightweight. It’s also pretty big once unfurled, so I don’t have to choose between having warm shoulders or warm feet. The down filling is best suited to chilly weather—not outright cold. The price is matched at Kelty with code MEMORIAL2022. The blanket isn’t discounted often.
WIRED reviews editor Adrienne So is a huge fan of Rumpl’s outdoor-friendly blankets. They’re durable, warm, and packable, and they’re available in several eye-catching designs. The blankets are made of recycled materials too. This discount matches what we see a few times throughout the year. The deal is matched at REI, though fewer colors are available there.
Our Best Weighted Blankets guide includes many Gravity products, although this specific one isn’t listed there. WIRED testers regularly enthuse about how cool Gravity blankets feel compared to some other brands, and this blanket was designed with hot sleepers in mind. Learn more about weighted blankets here.
iRobot’s Roomba J7+ has dipped lower in price before, but this one is on our roundup of robot vacuums as “The Absolute Best” option. It comes equipped with great navigational features, powerful suction, and a connected app that allows you to curate a cleaning schedule and tweak specific preferences. The base also comes with an enclosed bag system for the dirt—which allows the J7+ to empty itself when it’s done cleaning, so all you have to do is swap out the bag.
Editor Julian Chokkattu heartily recommends these in our guide to the best sunglasses, particularly for folks who need an eyeglass prescription. They look way cooler than your typical Rx frames, and they’re also durable, even after years of wear. The coupon code applies to most products across the website, but the particular one that Julian recommends falls to $105 after the code. You will have to make an account to use the coupon code at checkout.
Osprey’s sale prices are a bit predictable from year to year, but it’s still one of the best times to snag Osprey gear. There’s a pretty wide variety to choose from. I (Louryn) highly recommend the Osprey Farpoint ($120, $40 off). It was my sole carry-on during a three-week multi-country adventure. The Daylite Waist Bag ($23, $7 off) is another good pick from the larger selection.
For more outdoor gear, check out REI’s Anniversary Sale. The outdoor retailer’s annual sale is back and ends on May 30. We’ve highlighted some of the best deals here.
This giant, squishy beanbag is sort of ridiculous (as is its price tag). It’s also more comfortable than my sofa. The soft cover and dense filling make you feel like you’re floating. (As if you’re on the moon, get it?) The only person who enjoys taking a nap on this more than I do is my cat. Moon Pod usually offers discounts only around major shopping holidays.
Stasher’s reusable bags made our list of the best reusable products. The bags go on sale around shopping holidays like Memorial Day pretty regularly, but we don’t see many good deals outside of those events. This starter kit includes seven dishwasher-safe bags in different sizes, ranging from smaller storage bags to oversize bags for leftovers or cold lunches. Shop the entire sale here.
If you regularly use Instacart, this deal may be worth checking out, since it essentially gets you $15 for free. It’s only a good deal for folks who already planned on shopping. Instacart offers grocery delivery from most major stores in the cities where it operates.
Our reviewers say this is the very best password manager, and new users can get half off a one-year membership The discount applies to both individual and family memberships. We like 1Password because it’s easy to use and it’s compatible with lots of different devices and programs. There’s also a Travel mode and the option to use 1Password as an authentication method, which are perks similar managers don’t offer. Learn more about it here.
This discount isn’t quite as good as what we saw during Cyber Monday last year, but it’s the best deal we have tracked since then. Allform makes some of the best couches you can buy in a box. The savings will be shown at checkout. The deal is part of a larger sale that knocks 20 percent off sitewide.
The RevAir (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is an essential hair tool for those looking to cut down their styling time. It’s simple to use—section your wet hair, feed it into the wand, and the device will dry and straighten it simultaneously. Even though it’s both massive in size and expensive, WIRED reviewer Medea Giordano says using it “was life-changing.”
You’ll need to add this to your cart to see the discount at checkout. Zuvi’s Halo Hair Dryer (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is another expensive hair tool, but it’s an excellent option if you want to reduce the amount of heat you’re applying to your hair. Since it uses infrared heat instead of convective heat, it’s not as damaging and only heats the surface of your hair to help the strands retain their internal moisture while still drying quickly.
May is National Masturbation Month, and as a result, just about every type of sex toy and bedroom tech is on sale. Many highlights from our Best Sex Tech roundup can be had at a discount.
If you want to venture out on your own, here’s a list of Memorial Day sales at various retailers. Be sure to check out our many buying guides for additional advice and product recommendations.
